Pet owner accidentally dyes cat yellow with turmeric, goes viral on Facebook

This feline is yellow, but that doesn’t mean it’s a scaredy-cat.

A woman in Thailand claimed she accidentally dyed her white cat bright yellow while treating a fungal infection on its legs.

Thammapa Supamas wrote on Facebook that she rubbed turmeric on the infected area. Turmeric is known for its vibrant yellow color and is used in food and as a natural dye. It didn’t take long for her cat to end up yellow.

Photos of the yellow cat were so popular that Supamas made a Facebook page for her pet that quickly gained thousands of followers.

“Thank you for your kindness and concern,” she wrote in Thai.

The infection itself seemed to be going away after the turmeric treatment, but the yellow color was fading more slowly.

“Overall, ok,” Supamas wrote.

World Wide Aquarium & Pets

The best pet store in at least a 5 mile radius, hands down.

Worldwide has a very good aquarium section, and staff that seems quite knowledgeable when it comes to fish (and everything else pet related). The other pet supplies seem limited by space, but what they have is good quality and cheaper than you’ll see at the big stores, and what they don’t they will happily order if you tell them in advance.

Aside from the fish and pet homes/food/supplies, they also sell a good selection of reptiles, amphibians, and rodents, but not really a dealer in birds. They also occasionally have kittens, though that is more rare.

Very friendly staff that is always willing to help with questions, and even more eager to give your pooch treats when you bring them in. My mutt has more allergy restrictions than I do, so I am extremely happy that they carry a wide enough variety for his niche, and bonus points for having a deal that every 11th bag is free (Natural Balance brand).

I feel a bit like Elmyra (Tiny Toons reference) as I write this, but here is a list of pets I’ve gotten from them over
